Who we are
Kavela is a contract furniture manufacturer. We make furniture to order for projects — hotels, offices, restaurants, retail and workforce accommodation — rather than selling from a catalogue. Production runs from our own facility in Ankara; project sales and coordination run from London.
Most of our work starts with someone else’s drawings: an architect’s detail, an FF&E schedule, a bill of quantities, or a sample to match. We produce shop drawings from that, agree the materials and finishes with you, and manufacture to the approved sample. Where a project needs it, we also take on the fixed joinery and the installation, so the space is handed over complete.
Because Türkiye is inside the EU Customs Union, furniture manufactured here ships into the EU with no import duty under an A.TR certificate — which is usually what makes a Turkish workshop worth the freight for a European project. We quote EXW, FOB or DAP and handle export documentation ourselves.
The workshop
Production is carried out at our Ankara workshop, where machining, edge banding, spray finishing and upholstery are handled in-house. Keeping those four processes under one roof is what allows a single finish standard to be held across an entire project rather than reconciled between subcontractors.
We are deliberately not a volume plant. A line built for ten thousand identical units is the wrong tool for a project with fourteen room types, a changed detail in week six and a finish that has to match a sample. Our size is what makes that kind of work possible — and it is also why we quote honestly on lead time rather than promising a schedule the floor cannot hold.
The largest single delivery to date was a 94-unit residential project. Certification documents are shared on request at tender stage.
